BEC coordinated the remediation and conversion of the former New York Times printing facility (a 30 acre site) to a spec warehouse and distribution facility layout. The conversion involved removal of 125,000 square feet of existing building, widening the main traffic access, demolition of a 20,000 square foot maintenance garage at the rear of the facility and the construction of a new 175,000 square foot facility in its place to maximize the property's income potential. The approximate 2½ year development schedule also included a complete refrigeration/cooler/distribution fitout of the rear building and a 60,000 square foot covered garage and trucking addition to the front facility.
